1. Plans and coordinates activities between the profession of optometry and other professions and associations affecting optometry.
2. Assures effective liaison and communication among the AOA, its affiliated associations, and other optometric organizations.
3. Promotes and educates consumers and other health care providers on the services provided by optometry.
