With a mission to provide world-class continuing education that promotes quality eyecare, this year's EastWest Eye Conference, October 9-11 at the Cleveland Convention Center, promises to be an exceptional experience for optometrists and their staff, opticians and all in the optometric field. In addition, the exhibit hall, sponsored activities and exclusive Friday night party at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame present excellent opportunities to network with colleagues and optometry friends.

This year's conference features continuing education tracks covering Glaucoma, Neuro-optometric, Pharmacology, Low Vision, Cornea/Refractive Surgery, Contact Lenses, Systemic Disease/Public Health, and Pediatrics. Dr. Michael Earley will present the keynote lecture "Clinical Constants in Eye Care for Kids" on Thursday, October 9. Dr. Carl Hillier and Dr. Gary Etting will also present on timely topics in binocular and pediatric vision care. Dr. Gary Gerber's "Power Hour" will be held in the exhibit hall on Friday, October 10, at 4 p.m. Additional optometric speakers include Drs. Melton and Thomas, Drs. Gurwood and Myers, Dr. Marc Bloomenstein, Dr. Murray Fingeret, Dr. Al Kabat, Dr. John McGreal, Dr. Leo Semes, Dr. Grace Than and Dr. Jim Thimons.

The "intelligent office" is the theme of AEP education. More than 60 hours of CE for staff and opticians include classes on ocular disease, specialty contact lenses, electronic health records, ICD-10, frame adjustment, and prism will be offered in the four concurrent tracks of Spectacle, Contact Lens, Technician and Management. Popular speaker Laurie Guest will provide insight on how to maximize teamwork in the office.
