OD Crossfire Series Modeled after the popular CNN show by the same name, the OD Crossfire Series uses an open format to debate and challenge current treatment and diagnostic views with five different course discussions on anterior segment, retina, post-op management, contact lenses and glaucoma. Each course presents a maximum of 10 topics for two optometric experts to debate, concluding with an interactive spectator poll using audience response technology.

This rapid-fire discussion among three top futurists offers attendees a sneak peak into the ophthalmic industry 10 to 15 years down the road. Styled after the popular TED Talks, OD Talks will include discussions on social trends and technological advances that are awaiting just over the horizon.

  3. Workshop series for interactive training—limited registration; act now Find hands-on training under the direct supervision of experts for every level of optometric experience. Learn the latest techniques and skills with seven OD workshops—gonioscopy, scleral lenses, laser therapy, injections and amniotic membranes—and four optometric staff workshops, including lensometry, visual displays, anatomy and dissection, and frame adjusting. Staff workshops do not require pre-registration nor an additional fee. Students also can participate in one of four scleral lens workshops offered. But space is limited, so register today.
