Nominate ODs for prestigious Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame nominations open for 2015

The 2014 National Optometry Hall of Fame inductees (from left) Ron Fair, O.D., Arol R. Augsburger, O.D., and Karla Zadnik, O.D., Ph.D., with T. Joel Byars, O.D., board president of Optometry Cares® —The AOA Foundation, join esteemed colleagues who have made significant contributions to the profession.

The National Optometry Hall of Fame has recognized outstanding optometrists since 1998.

Optometrists make a world of difference daily, but for those who have consistently gone above and beyond to make a significant impact, consider recognizing them for one of the profession's highest honors.

Nominations for the 2015 National Optometry Hall of Fame are now being accepted online with inductees to be honored at Optometry's Meeting® 2015, June 24-27, in Seattle, Washington. The deadline for online submissions is Jan. 15, 2015

Administered by Optometry Cares®—The AOA Foundation, the National Optometry Hall of Fame has recognized outstanding optometrists who have made long-lasting contributions to the profession since 1998. Click here to see a list of prior inductees.

Who's eligible for nomination?
New this year, optometrists may be nominated for one of two categories—either Academia or Private Practice/Federal Service—with a minimum of one person inducted into both categories. Nominees must meet specific criteria for either category, but general eligibility requirements state nominees must:
