Take advantage of early-bird registration discounts by
May 2.

Early-bird registration rates through May 2 save AOA member optometrists, lifetime members and paraoptometric staff nearly 17 percent on on-site registration fees. Academia saves, too, with American Optometric Student Association members, residents/post-graduates and optometric educators all receiving significant discounts by acting now.

New this year, doctors also can select a two-day registration option to tailor your busy schedule around the Optometry's Meeting events and courses right for you.

One low registration price gives members access to the latest in continuing education (CE), the Exhibit Hall, more than 50 networking events and open sessions of the AOA House of Delegates. You won't want to miss this year's star-studded guests as astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Ph.D., delivers the keynote address at the Opening General Session, sponsored by Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Inc., on Wednesday, June 29; and A Celebration of Optometry, sponsored by HOYA Vision Care, features a "Broadway to Boston" performance, with Broadway celebrities Laura Osnes, Jeff Pew and more, on Saturday, July 2.

What to expect: Optometry's Meeting 2016
So what's the big deal about Optometry's Meeting this year? Take a look:

  • Learn. Expanded CE programming allows attendees to receive more than 30 hours of accredited education, choosing from a vast selection of new and unique courses. Ron Melton, O.D., and Randall Thomas, O.D., two of the most dynamic speakers in optometry, kick off CE with three courses beginning at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 29. And stay for additional CE options throughout Sunday afternoon.
  • Lead. Optometry's Meeting is the only conference where optometry's leaders and volunteers formally gather to chart AOA's course, ensuring a strong and effective advocacy arm for your profession and practice. For more than a century, AOA's main governing body—the House of Delegates—has led the advancement of our profession, and you can take part during public sessions on Thursday and Saturday.
  • Connect. There's so much to do at Optometry's Meeting that it can be difficult to fit it all in, but revised Exhibit Hall hours mean attendees won't be stretched for time. This year, 10-of-15 Exhibit Hall hours—Thursday, June 30, through Saturday, July 2—don't conflict with CE programming, maximizing your opportunity to experience all Optometry's Meeting has to offer.
