About Think About Your Eyes (TAYE)
The AOA is a partner in the Think About Your Eyes (TAYE) initiative. TAYE is a nationwide, multi-million dollar television, radio, print and Internet advertising campaign specifically designed to educate Americans on the need for better vision health, motivate them to schedule their annual eye exam, and link them to a doctor if they don't already have one. All of the advertising includes the tagline "Brought to you by the American Optometric Association."
TAYE has had over one million visitors to its website since national advertising started in July, 2013. The campaign has driven a 7.2 percent increase in total eye exams in 2014 vs 2013. During 2014, Think About Your Eyes advertising reached 95 percent of Americans between the ages of 25-49 - totaling over 150 million American consumers. This is the largest public exposure for vision care, the AOA, and the profession of Optometry - ever!
