The Apollo Award has been bestowed on a wide range of individuals and groups which have contributed to the visual welfare of the public. Past recipients include individuals such as educators and spokespersons, organizations such as service clubs and philanthropic groups; programs such as eye care education programs in schools and communities; and publications which are made available to those with visual handicaps.
