Education Services
Continuing education is one of the most important benefits a Paraoptometric Section member can take part in. CE is not only important to paraoptometrics of all certification levels, but is also important to new staff or non-certified staff. Most CE is designed to keep optometric staff abreast of the latest developments in patient care, new products in industry, general knowledge of eye health and career advancement. The Section provides many opportunities to obtain CE for members and non-members alike.
Typcially, continuing education provided by the AOA Paraoptometric Section is only approved for the AOA certification program; however, many courses provided during Optometry's Meeting™ are submitted to the American Board of Opticianry, National Contact Lens Examiners, or Joint Commission for Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology for CE credentialing. To find out which courses have been approved by these agencies for Optometry's Meeting™ in Seattle, visit www.optometrysmeeting.org for a full list of course descriptions and class schedules, as well as registration information. Early-bird registration ends April 1, 2008. To take advantage of early-bird discounts, register today!
