Withdrawal of Accreditation



The decision of the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education to withdraw accreditation effective July 1, 2008 from the Residency in Geriatrics and Visual Impairment Rehabilitation at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System, which is affiliated with the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry was final on April 11, 2008 . A statement of the reason(s) for withdrawal will be available upon request from the ACOE after May 27, 2008, along with any statement that the program may wish to make.




The decision of the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education to withdraw accreditation from the Standing Rock IHS Residency in Hospital Based Primary Care Optometry, which is affiliated with the Southern California College of Optometry, was final on December 4, 2003. A statement of the reason(s) for withdrawal will be available upon request from the ACOE after January 4, 2004, along with any statement that the program may wish to make.
