VisionWeb offers services to help streamline and simplify the eye care practice by automating cumbersome processes that were once manual.

By using VisionWeb's services, the eye care provider and staff will spend more time with patients and less time on the phone with suppliers and insurance companies. VisionWeb's services include online eye care product ordering and insurance transaction processing.

The AOA plays a very important role in helping VisionWeb best serve the optical industry.

Recognizing the benefits associated with using VisionWeb's services - speed, efficiency, increased accuracy - the AOA became involved with VisionWeb to help bring these benefits to the eye care practice through VisionWeb's AOA Royalty Program.

This program allows eye care providers to contribute non-dues revenue to their AOA state affiliate.

Because VisionWeb is not a buying group, eye care providers can continue to enjoy buying group benefits while contributing to their state affiliate's ability to raise non-dues revenue when they place eye care product orders online, free through VisionWeb's online ordering service.

Under the terms of the AOA Royalty Program, VisionWeb will pay participating AOA affiliates a royalty on transaction fees generated by their members' orders placed through VisionWeb's online ordering service.

One order transaction occurs every time an order is submitted via VisionWeb's online ordering service.

The transaction fee is paid by the supplier receiving the order - ordering on VisionWeb is free to eye care providers.

AOA members should take advantage of this relationship and free online ordering with VisionWeb.

Eye care providers who have registered their practices with VisionWeb should ensure that their staff is using VisionWeb to place their eye care product orders.

Those who haven't registered their practice with VisionWeb are encouraged to register today.

Becoming a VisionWeb member is simple.

This year, VisionWeb paid over $35,000 in royalties to the participating state affiliates for orders received from June 2006 - May 2007.

Each state affiliate must agree to participate in the program in order to receive the royalties for orders.

Eye care providers should contact their state executive directors to find out if their state affiliates participate in the VisionWeb AOA Royalty Program.
