CLCS Scope and Function

• Serve as an informational and educational resource to the public and the media on contact lens and cornea care.
  
  
• Serve as an informational and educational resource to members of the AOA on contact lens and cornea care.
  
  
• Provide advisory service to AOA members relative to new procedures, products and services in the contact lens and cornea field.
  
  
• Provide ongoing liaison to governmental agencies, manufacturers, organizations and associations in the contact lens and cornea field.
  
  
• Provide ongoing liaison with third party health care programs and work for realistic recognition and inclusion of contact lens and cornea care in third party programs.
  
  
• Participate in activities and projects which will enhance the utilization and quality of contact lens and cornea care.
