Seal of Acceptance for Devices for Low Vision

The American Optometric Association (AOA) has established a program to provide evaluation and recognition of quality devices for low vision. Products that meet the minimum specifications established by the AOA Commission on Ophthalmic Standards are allowed to use the AOA Seal of Acceptance in product labeling and marketing. The current ANSI Z80.9 Standard “Devices for Low Vision” specifies the minimum requirements and test procedures necessary for the AOA Seal of Acceptance in this category. All product specifications must be in conformance with the provisions of this document.

The following is a listing of companies whose products have met the AOA specifications for Devices for Low Vision. You can contact these manufacturers directly for additional information about their products.
