At its October 12-14, 2007 Annual meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education took the following actions:

Preaccreditation Actions
Candidacy pending status granted following review of the program’s self-study:
- Grand Rapids Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic Residency in Ocular Disease, which is affiliated with Ferris State University, Michigan College of Optometry;
- Togus Veterans Affairs Medical Center Residency in Primary Eye Care, which is affiliated with New England College of Optometry;
Initial Accreditation
Classification of “Accredited” granted following a full evaluation visit:
- Reno Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Sierra Nevada Healthcare System Residency in Hospital-Based Optometry, which is affiliated with University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry (2014);
