At its October 12-14, 2007 Annual meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education took the following actions:
NOTE: The date behind the names of the programs below is the next currently scheduled full evaluation visit.
- Preaccreditation Actions
Candidacy pending status granted following review of the program’s self-study:- Grand Rapids Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic Residency in Ocular Disease, which is affiliated with Ferris State University, Michigan College of Optometry;
- Togus Veterans Affairs Medical Center Residency in Primary Eye Care, which is affiliated with New England College of Optometry;
- Initial Accreditation
Classification of “Accredited” granted following a full evaluation visit:- Reno Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Sierra Nevada Healthcare System Residency in Hospital-Based Optometry, which is affiliated with University of California, Berkeley, School of Optometry (2014);
- Continuing Accreditation
Classification of “Accredited” continued following a full evaluation visit:- Britton Vision Associates Advanced Surgical Eyecare Residency in Ocular Disease, which is affiliated with Northeastern State University Oklahoma College of Optometry (2014);
- Manchester Veterans Affairs Medical Center Residency in Ocular Disease, which is affiliated with New England College of Optometry (2014);
- Sepulveda Veterans Affairs Ambulatory Care Center Residency in Primary Eye Care/Geriatric Optometry, which is affiliated with Southern California College of Optometry (2014);
- Veterans Affairs Hudson Valley Healthcare System Residency in Primary Care Optometry and Ocular Disease, which is affiliated with State University of New York, State College of Optometry (2014);
- Reinstatement of Accreditation.
- Withdrawal of accreditation by ACOE
- Voluntary withdrawal of accreditation
