Employer toolkit
To better understand how employers incorporate eye health and vision benefits into their overall benefit offerings, the Midwest Business Group on Health (MBGH) designed a toolkit for employers that contains information and recommendations for how to improve their existing eye health and vision care benefits.
The AOA encourages you to share this valuable resource with employers in your community.
Employers integrating preventive eye care into their primary medical benefit
More than 70% of large employers say they are considering or actively pursuing the integration of preventive eye care into their primary medical benefit plans in the next five years. Providing integrated preventive eye health coverage not only shows that your company cares about its employees’ overall health and wellbeing, but also makes financial sense.
To help employers better understand the value of integrating vision benefits in their company’s medical plan, the AOA has provided a brief on considerations for benefit managers, as well as a more in-depth white paper on the value of integration, which are available below. A webinar and corresponding Podcast on what employers need to know about integrating comprehensive vision benefits also are accessible.
