FV-Children and Their Devices
Description:
This course will address all issues of device use and present guidelines for helping parents manage children’s device use. Digital device use is exploding through the world. This generation that has grown up using devices is very new to our society. As adults, we use our phone and the internet for many everyday activities that most recently required a phone call and physically talking with a person. We view podcasts as preparation for or participation in a “meeting.” Information is available immediately available through search engines. Products and services, including food can be ordered and delivered in record speed through a phone app. The issues are starting young and prolonged use of such devices for gaming and social media. Guidelines for managing a young population who use devices for long periods at a time.
