GL-Glaucoma Masqueraders
Description:
Without a gold standard biomarker in glaucoma diagnosis, it is often difficult to distinguish glaucoma patients from glaucoma suspects. This clinical question is made even more difficult when patients present with other ocular conditions that may mimic glaucoma. This course will use a case based approach to help attendees learn to distinguish glaucoma patients from glaucoma masqueraders. The course will focus on the use of diagnostic auxiliary tests such as macular OCT scans, optic nerve OCT scans, visual fields, and pupillary testing to distinguish glaucoma masqueraders from glaucoma.
