This first part that will discuss the historical significance and importance of care for the nursing facility population, the demographic of this population and how Optometry can help.  The second part will discuss the various aspects of ocular disease and conditions found in this population, the impact of these ocular conditions on this population in particular. And how to gain access to these patients.   Part III the 'nuts and bolt' of caring for this population, the equipment and examination techniques necessary and, of course the billing for these services.
