Description:
This course will give a fast-paced overview of consumer electronic devices, portable/desktop electronic magnification devices and devices with Artificial Intelligence that can be used to assist patients with mild to severe visual impairments. Consumer electronic devices will include iPhone/Android smartphones. Vision accessibility features and shortcuts will be demonstrated. iPhone and android vision accessibility features will be demonstrated live. Common apps for iPhone and android will be explained and demonstrated. Video content will illustrate the use of these aids. Current coding guidellines for this aspect of vision rehabilitation care will be reviewed.
