Description:

Providers continue to find it difficult and challenging to bill and code for low vision services. Low vision services are time intensive and require a thorough knowledge of appropriate and accurate coding. CMS finalized a number of coding and payment changes to reduce administrative burden and improve payment accuracy for 'Evaluation and Management' visits in the outpatient setting. This course will review the ICD/CPT codes for low vision and overall the lessons learned from ICD-10 and CPT-4 over the past few years.  In order to survive audits, guidelines for the proper documentation of medical records will be discussed.  Case examples will be utilized to explain the appropriate ways to code for low vision examinations and services.
