Description:
In this course, cerebral vision impairment, stroke and inherited retinal disease cases will be presented. Both ocular health assessment and goal-based vision rehabilitation management will be discussed. Testing to diagnose both functional vision and neurological loss will be reviewed. Use of prism and magnification devices as well as training to enhance prognosis will be discussed. Generalized coding guides will be reviewed to give attendees broad coding examples. These guidelines will be applied to the cases presented. This course is appropriate for the seasoned vision rehabilitation optometrist but also optometrist who want to learn more about vision rehabilitation.
