Description:

There is a tremendous unmet need for low vision care with few eye care professionals providing this service.  This course will deliver motivating reasons for doctors to add this important service for their patients.  Debunking the 4 great myths of low vision and explaining the most successful model for providing low vision care will motivate doctors to consider adding low vision care for their patients. It is estimated that there are approximately 8,000,000 people in The United States that are visually impaired.  With less than 500 low vision providers and clinics, the unmet need for low vision care is obvious.  This course will result in adding additional providers to resolve this unmet need.
