Description:

Using a grand-rounds case presentation format this course will cover several etiologies of non-glaucomatous optic neuropathy, or glaucoma masqueraders, including compressive optic neuropathy, traumatic optic neuropathy, and retrochiasmal visual pathway infarction. Emphasis will be placed on clinical features ('red flags') that should raise suspicion for a non-glaucomatous cause of optic neuropathy, and the course will review what systemic work-up should be initiated when these features are present.
