Description:

If 2020 through 2022 taught us anything, it was the tremendous impact of the social determinates of health (SDOH) on the health and wellness of specific populations in this country. Much has been written on this topic.  Most, if not all, health plans are requiring providers to become versed in cultural competency in order to better serve all populations.  More tools are being developed to ensure that providers understand the impact of SDOH and have the resources to aid in addressing these needs. As well, some payors are reimbursing for assessments of SDOH.
