PO-Management of Early Cataract Surgery Complications
Description:
Over 3 million cataract surgeries are performed in the US annually and that number is expected to increase. Although cataract surgery is one of the safest ophthalmic procedures, complications can arise. With the increased popularity of cataract surgery comanagement between surgeons and optometrists, many postoperative complications will now be managed by the optometrist. This course will review early complications of cataract surgery including treatment and management. A discussion of commonly performed Minimally Invasive Glaucoma Surgery (MIGS) procedures done in conjunction with cataract surgery and their complications will also be covered.
