PO-The Surgical Management of the Anterior Segment The OD's Role
Description:
This course will discuss optometrys role in managing various anterior segment surgical procedures and the conditions that accompany them. Peri-operative management of the most common anterior segment surgical procedures including partial thickness corneal transplants, full-thickness corneal transplants, cataract surgery, corneal collagen cross-linking and corneal refractive procedures. Topics include an overview of advanced anterior segment surgical treatment options, indications for surgery, advantages and disadvantages of the procedure and post-operative care.
