PS-New Approaches to Central Serous Chorioretinopathy
Description:
This course will examine new findings pertaining to the diagnosis and management of central serious chorioretinopathy (CSCR) and what they mean for the practicing optometrist. Key findings from recent studies will be discussed in order to provide an update on the etiology, manifestations, and pathophysiology of this condition. We will also discuss the role of newer technologies such as enhanced depth imaging and OCT angiography on diagnosis. Lastly, novel treatment options, including mineralocorticoid antagonist medications and subthreshold micropulse laser, will be assessed and incorporated into a current evidence-based management plan for various presentations of CSCR.
