AOA Micro-credentials
AOA offers micro-credentials as an avenue to optometric professionals to gain an extensive amount of targeted knowledge in particular practice areas as a way to enhance the overall care provided to their patients. These AOA approved micro-credential programs are developed by respected AOA doctors of optometry and certified paraoptometrics. Through a micro-credential program, an in-depth course of study will be offered with the expectation that all required assessments would be passed successfully to demonstrate the proficiency necessary to earn the micro-credential.
