The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) gave many doctors of optometry funding in 2020 to weather the COVID financial storm. Sometimes referred to as HHS1, HHS2 and HHS3, these funds helped optometrists continue payroll, rent and other expenses. The reporting requirements are different from PPP reporting. Optometrists are required to log into the reporting site and itemize how they used the Provider Relief Funds starting July 1, 2021. Dr. Michaels will walk you through the steps and your responsibilities. Most optometrists are required to report before September 30, 2021.
