Lasers in Eye Care- Ophthalmic lasers and their clinical application for the optometric physician are reviewed in a multimedia format, including clinical indications and a review of pathology, instrument settings, surgical considerations, and expected outcomes, with special attention to YAG capsulotomy, YAG laser peripheral iridotomy (LPI), and selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT). Lumps, Bumps, and Lid Procedures Commonly encountered lid pathologies are reviewed, including characteristics, differential diagnoses, and options and techniques for surgical intervention. Surgical techniques and considerations for commonly encountered injections, excision, incision, and curettage lid procedures are also reviewed. (Wroten, 74843-SP, 1 hours)

Strutting Your Stuff: Modern Day Aesthetics - The breadth and scope of therapies and procedures Doctors of Optometry can offer patients to simultaneously correct disorders, enhance function, and improve the cosmetic appearance of the eye and its adnexa has exponentially increased. This fast-paced, multimedia course provides a broad overview of optometric aesthetic therapies, including oral and topical medications,over-the-counter remedies, injectable neuromodulators, radio frequency technology, intense pulsed light, and plasma ablation. Believe It or Not!: Amazing Eye Tech, Astounding Therapies, & Pioneering Procedures - The goal of this course is for the Practitioner to gain an increased appreciation for current and emerging treatments and technologies in eye care which will impact how patients will be diagnosed, treated, and cared for in the ever-evolving world of eye care.
