AOA Emergency Children’s Vision Summit
An exponential increase in the time that children spend in front of digital screens due to virtual learning and the COVID-19 pandemic continues to fuel public health concerns that a surge in children’s eye conditions, ranging from digital eye strain to myopia, isn’t far behind. To address these concerns, the virtual AOA Emergency Children’s Vision Summit welcomes doctors of optometry, paraoptometrics and optometry students to a virtual summit to address this developing crisis. Join our panel discussions with experts on children’s eye health and vision care, on Wednesday, March 24, and help our profession assess the public health issue to chart a course forward.
The AOA Emergency Children’s Vision Summit will provide the opportunity for doctors of optometry to learn from experts on children’s eye care as they assess the crisis and chart a course forward. The members-only virtual event launches an ongoing conversation, led by the AOA, on children’s eye health and vision care. Its School Readiness Summit is set for July.
