AOA MORE: Have you enrolled?

AOA MORE: Have you enrolled?

Enroll today to take advantage of this AOA member benefit.

Optometry's portal to the data revolution puts an unparalleled level of clinical information at doctors' fingertips—simply enroll now to take advantage of this AOA member benefit.

Two years in the making, AOA MORE (Measures and Outcomes Registry for Eyecare) by Prometheus Research, is a private, secure database that systematically integrates anonymized patient data from multiple electronic health record (EHR) systems and facilitates secondary uses of that data by doctors themselves, and the profession.

This clinical registry allows participating doctors an interactive snapshot of:

  • Patient demographics
  • Most common diagnoses and prescriptions
  • Data among different practice locations
  • De-identified registry-wide data for benchmarking
  • Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) progress

"We know that you and your patients will benefit from this registry and see the value in what it has to offer," said AOA President Steven A. Loomis, O.D., during the registry launch at Optometry's Meeting® 2015 in Seattle, Washington.

Enroll today to take advantage of this AOA member benefit, available at no extra cost. Here's how:

For AOA members who own a practice

  1. Visit to begin enrollment.
  2. Log in and agree to the terms of use.
  3. Validate your educational and professional data.
  4. Select the practice(s) you wish to enroll.
  5. Sign the business agreement to allow your practice data to flow into the registry.
  6. Select your EHR vendor.
  7. Authorize your employees/associates.
  8. Submit your enrollment.

For AOA members who are associates in their practice

  1. Ensure the practice owner has fully enrolled the practice and signed an agreement that authorizes associates to use AOA MORE. After the practice owner completes this process, an email prompt is generated for those associates to follow.
  2. Open the email and use the verification code found within to complete the enrollment process at

Doctors should note that it is incumbent on the practice owner to fully complete the enrollment process before associate doctors of optometry also can enroll. Currently, the registry is available only to AOA members, however, it will be available in the near future to nonmembers for a fee of $1,800 per year.
