ACOE Notice of Programs with Accredited with Conditions Status

The classification of "Accredited with Conditions" is granted to an educational program with major deficiencies or weaknesses with reference to the standards of accreditation. This classification indicates that the educational effectiveness of the program is in jeopardy.

The June 23, 2018 decision of the Accreditation Council on Optometric Education (ACOE) to grant the "Accredited with Conditions" probationary classification to the Residency in Ocular Disease with Emphasis in Contact Lenses at the University of Virginia Department of Ophthalmology in Charlottesville, Virginia, which is affiliated with Indiana University School of Optometry became final on August 22, 2018.  [This notice was posted on September 14, 2018.]
