The Clinical Practice of Optometry report focuses on diagnosis and care of the optometric patient during 2011. Key data is presented on the percentage of optometrists who provided care for refractive surgery patients, diabetic patients, anterior segment disorders, and posterior segment disorders. Data is also presented on the average number of patients diagnosed with the given condition or disorder per optometrist and the average number of patients treated or co-managed for a given condition or disorder. Information is also provided on advanced procedures as well as medication prescriptions provided to patients by optometrists.
