Announcing VRC and VRAN

The former Vision Rehabiliation Section (VRS) has recently become the Vision Rehabilitation Committee (VRC) and is now part of AOA's advocacy group. This transition allows VRC to work more efficiently with other AOA committees, staff, membership, and affiliate organizations.

While most Vision Rehabilitation resources and material were only available to Section members, VRC will have more access to AOA resources and will now be able to provide all AOA members with Vision Rehabilitation (VR) information, resources, and tools at no extra cost.* This change will also allow VRC to coordinate Vision Rehabilitation advocacy efforts with other AOA committees, such as  Federal Relations Committee, State Government Relations Committee, and Third Party Center.

For former VRS members and AOA members interested in Vision Rehabilitation, the AOA will be forming the Vision Rehabilitation Advocacy Network (VRAN). This network will help VRC inform interested AOA members of Vision Rehabilitation  updates and allow AOA members to become more involved in  development of AOA's Vision Rehabilitation specific resources and advocacy efforts. By completing the following  survey and joining VRAN, VRC will be able to identify advocacy opportunities which you can be involved in. Click here to join the Vision Rehabilitation ADVOCACY NETWORK.

*Most Vision Rehabilitation materials will be free. However, the AOA may develop more extensive reference materials--such brochures, books, and guides--for a low cost to members at AOA Marketplace.
